Tickets for Garth Brooks’s LA benefit concert in January for victims of the recent wildfires in California will go on sale on December 1 at 9 am. Garth Brooks was approached by civic leaders and California state elected officials from the areas that were affected by recent wildfires. The concert will be held on January 26, 2008 at the Staples Center in LA, California. Show tickets for all seats are $38.60 (plus $5.00 handling charge and 1.40 city amusement tax). There’s going to be a limit of 6 concert tickets per person.

Rave Motion Pictures will sell tickets beginning today for an engagement of Disney’s 3D film entitled “Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert.” The unique 3D film captures the excitement of the nationwide sold-out concert tour that features Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers. Single-game tickets for the Red Sox plays April and May will go on sale to the public on December 8 as part of the Sox’ “Christmas at Fenway” event. Single-game Red Sox tickets will be available online at their official website www.redsox.com or by phone starting at 10 am on Saturday, December 8. Moreover, The Red Sox fans are now able to register at redsox.com between noon on Wednesday and 12 am on Monday, December 3 to attend a special event at Fenway Park on December 8. Garth Brooks tickets will go on sale on Saturday for the performer’s January 26 show at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The performance will benefit victims of the recent wildfires in Southern California and support firefighting programs in the state. Tickets are forty bucks and will be available starting at 9 am at Garth Brooks’ website, www.garthbrooks.com, but not at Staples’ box office or any other ticket outlets. There is a 6-ticket limit per person.

Spice Girls’ tickets for the comeback tour are being auctioned off for less than a 3rd of the tickets’ face value. The first date of their world tour starting in London on December 16, was originally sold out in just 38 seconds. Sixteen further dates at the 23 thousand capacity O2 Arena, and 2 at Manchester’s MEN Arena, have sold out as well. However now, tickets for the nineteen United Kingdom dates, with cost £85 each, are being flogged off for less than only £25.

The Anaheim Duck signed center Ryan Getzlaf to a 5-year contract worth $26.625 million that begins next season. Ryan Getzlaf, 22 years old, has 7 goals and 14 assists in 19 matches this season. The player would have become a restricted free agent at the end of this season. His contract is worth more than the 5-year, $21.25 million deal that Penner signed with the Edmonton Oilers after the Anaheim Ducks declined to match and let the left wing go in August

For the better part of 4 years, Bonds has been visible but untouchable. With the federal indictment of Barry Bonds on Thursday, this mystery element of the steroid story is over. Barry has not been convicted of a crime, but his legacy, that is already damaged, is virtually unrecoverable. Outside of San Francisco, Bond lost the public long ago. Inside the League, the highest-level executives have long believed any form of steroid-era closure couldn’t exist while Barry Bonds still was in uniform. He most likely won’t play baseball again.

The Jaguars are back at home after playing 3 straight road matches, as they host the surging Chargers this Sunday afternoon from Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. Jacksonville went 2-1 on the trip and handed the AFC South-rival Titans a 28-13 defeat last weekend. The Jaguars earned revenge of a Week One setback to Tennessee by pounding the football against the League’s top run defense.

LeBron James scored thirty-nine points, grabbed thirteen rebounds, and dished out fourteen assists in the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 117-116 loss to the Orlando Magic. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, LeBron James is the 1st player to record that many points, rebounds and assists in a game since Wilt Chamberlain in 1968. Yao Ming had twenty-six points and thirteen rebounds in the Houston Rockets’ 93-90 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Jason Richardson and Gerald Wallace each scored twenty-seven points but the Bobcats fell to the Hawks 117-109.
