Kenny Loggins plans 30 concerts this summer

Kenny Loggins, a versatile singer and songwriter, has decided to undertake a summer tour in order to support his last studio album “How About Now” that he released last year. The veteran performer’s concert tour picks off with a performance on May 16th at San Rafael in California and will be touring extensively in the month of July and August as most of his committed concerts are during these months. Tickets to his concert tours are currently on sale and fans who are interested in soft, country sound rocking music will surely be entertained by Kenny Loggins. He has so far received 12 platinum album awards.

Mariah Carey set to create Billboard’s No 1 hits record

Mariah Carey, the rock singing sensation, is creating waves all over the world with the latest single “Touch My Body” from her upcoming album E=MC2 and she is all set to amass her 18th number one position on the charts of the Billboard Hot 100 singles. The song has lately dipped to the number 15th position, but is expected to regain its position in the top of the charts very soon as it is now available for digital download. The record for the most number one’s position in the Billboard charts is with the Beatles with 20.

There have been a lot of discussions and deliberations among her fans regarding her new album and in particular the song “Touch My Body” and Billboard feels that it is just a matter of time before she goes one notch above Elvis Presley in the chart of the Billboard Hot 100 Singles. The new album E=MC2 is expected to be released on April 15 and Mariah thinks that she will be able to beat the Beatles record one day. Tickets to her shows and concerts are even now selling like hot cakes.

Artists Want Profit From Resold Concert Ticket

Robbie Williams, Radiohead, and Arctic Monkeys joined calls Tuesday for a levy to be added to concert tickets resold on the web in order to allow musicians to claw back some of the profits that are made by touts and fans. The acts’ managers said the move was vital to bring some regulation and rigor to the ticket market, which they described as “the wild west”. It was proposed to establish a Resale Rights Society, which would collect a fee from each concert ticket sold on eBay and other websites.

Brooks Sold 85,000 Concert Tickets

The great musician Garth Brooks has sold over 85,000 tickets in less than an hour for 5 upcoming shows in LA. Although Garth Brooks was previously scheduled for only 1 live performance, he will now play 2 concerts on January 25 (at 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.) and 3 concerts on January 26 (at 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m.) at the Staples Center. All proceeds from Garth Brooks’ shows will benefit recent fire victims and firefighters in CA.

6 Days On Statue To Win Concert Tickets

The 35-year old Jody Powell hung on to a 3.5-metre statue of “Hannah Montana” for 6 days to win concert tickets to a sold-out show by Miley Cyrus. The concert of the star of the Disney Channel Television show will be held next week in Tampa. 20 contestants started on November 8, placing a hand on the 180-kilogram statue in the parking lot of radio station WFLZ-FM, which is the contest’s sponsor. The participants were allowed twelve-minute breaks every 3 hours and got catered meals.

Garth Brooks Show Tickets On Sale Saturday

Tickets for Garth Brooks’s LA benefit concert in January for victims of the recent wildfires in California will go on sale on December 1 at 9 am. Garth Brooks was approached by civic leaders and California state elected officials from the areas that were affected by recent wildfires. The concert will be held on January 26, 2008 at the Staples Center in LA, California. Show tickets for all seats are $38.60 (plus $5.00 handling charge and 1.40 city amusement tax). There’s going to be a limit of 6 concert tickets per person.
