Kenny Loggins plans 30 concerts this summer

Kenny Loggins, a versatile singer and songwriter, has decided to undertake a summer tour in order to support his last studio album “How About Now” that he released last year. The veteran performer’s concert tour picks off with a performance on May 16th at San Rafael in California and will be touring extensively in the month of July and August as most of his committed concerts are during these months. Tickets to his concert tours are currently on sale and fans who are interested in soft, country sound rocking music will surely be entertained by Kenny Loggins. He has so far received 12 platinum album awards.

Mariah Carey set to create Billboard’s No 1 hits record

Mariah Carey, the rock singing sensation, is creating waves all over the world with the latest single “Touch My Body” from her upcoming album E=MC2 and she is all set to amass her 18th number one position on the charts of the Billboard Hot 100 singles. The song has lately dipped to the number 15th position, but is expected to regain its position in the top of the charts very soon as it is now available for digital download. The record for the most number one’s position in the Billboard charts is with the Beatles with 20.

There have been a lot of discussions and deliberations among her fans regarding her new album and in particular the song “Touch My Body” and Billboard feels that it is just a matter of time before she goes one notch above Elvis Presley in the chart of the Billboard Hot 100 Singles. The new album E=MC2 is expected to be released on April 15 and Mariah thinks that she will be able to beat the Beatles record one day. Tickets to her shows and concerts are even now selling like hot cakes.

Benefit concert in Seattle to host Everclear band

The Everclear band that shot into fame in 1995 virtue of their superb songs, lyrics for Gen-X teens, massive tour scheduling and belligerent self-promotion have given the nod to perform for a benefit concert, after lot of discussions, to be held in Seattle on April 5th. The show is organized to benefit the New Horizon Ministries of Seattle and the funds raised through this concert will be used by the New Horizon Ministries in their ongoing efforts to help and serve the needy street youth population in Seattle.

The benefit show for Seattle’s New Horizon Ministries will be held in the new location of the Mars Hill Church, which was the former site of Tabella Nightclub. The show kicks off at the Mars Hill Downtown in Seattle at 8 pm and the tickets to the show are currently on sale and fans, who are 18 years and above, will only be permitted for the benefit concert.

Van Halen announced fresh dates for the postponed shows

Van Halen who was not at the pink of his health earlier in the month, had to postpone 20 of his scheduled shows. Now, his fans can be pretty pleased as the band has announced fresh dates for these forfeited shows as they had promised earlier. Van Halen and his band have decided to begin its tour with a performance on April 19 at Las Vegas, a charity concert for Tiger Woods’ Tiger Jam charity event that is done annually. The tour programmer for Van Halen and his band said that all the tickets purchased for the cancelled programs will stand valid for the rescheduled music concerts.

Van Halen will be performing all through the US in his rescheduled itinerary that runs from the middle of April through to the 2nd of June. Van Halen had postponed some shows citing no reason and the fans were dejected about the postponement. Later, it was revealed that the postponement was due to some medical tests that the lead man Edie Van Halen had to undergo for an undisclosed illness. Van Halen has been in the news some years ago for substance abuse, alcoholism and also had to undergo treatment for cancer. The last road show by Van Halen with David Lee Roth, who performed in concerts after more than two decades, was one of the highest tour grosser’s of 2007.

A farewell message by the Spice Girls

The Toronto concert which concluded recently is the last time the Spice Girls will be performing on stage as the Spice Girls. The much awaited reunion tour of the Spice Girls was cut short due to some problems between the Spice Girls and it has now become official that the Toronto show in which the Spice Girls revealed their sassy costumes will be the last time they perform together on stage. The little Sugar, Cruz, treated the audience with yet another mind blowing performance and the Canadian fans were lucky that these pop divas chose Toronto as their last stop of their reunion tour.

The Spice Girls in their parting message on their website said that they have come to the end of the road and that their eyes are filled with tears of joy as well as sorrow. They said that their reunion tour is testimony to the fact that dreams can be real and said that through their tour they were able to satisfy their loyal fans all over the world. They said that they hope that the Girl Power will continue for generations to come and are pretty sad to say goodbye, even though they hate to use the word.

Billy Joel Ready with the Tour Dates for April

Billy Joel, the Music Icon for the masses across the world, came up with his new tour dates for the next couple of months. He is to perform for a number of shows in April at different places. Billy Joel has shows in Pittsburgh, Columbus, Montreal and in New Orleans, in this April. Joel is currently on his tour in California and he is with a handful of performances there. In late –May he is going to perform in Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun and his schedule includes two-night stand at the Shea-stadium in New York and a show at the Hershey Park stadium in Pennsylvania on July 10th.

In 1990 Billy Joel did a concert in Hershey Stadium as a part of his “Storm Front Tour” and it was sold out. The show in July will be his first show after 1990 in Hershey Park. Music lovers in Pennsylvania are eagerly waiting for Joel’s show in July. The new tour date announcement has given the fans a clearer picture of his schedule. Music lovers and fans can book their tickets for the Billy Joel show well in advance. So, the coming moths are really hectic for Billy Joel and his fans.

Martina Electrified the Nation with Her Soprano Voice

Martina McBride had touched all the high notes to give an electrifying performance in the Nationwide Arena. The concert was a big success as she rendered the songs in her very attractive voice with the power and grace the songs deserved. She sang 19 songs and even the ordinary songs were made beautiful by her soprano voice. Specialty of McBride is that she gets into the soul of each and every song and the listener will feel that the singer is going through the happenings of each line. She got more than one minute standing ovation from the crowd, when she finished the song “Where Would You Be”.

Martina had managed to project pictures or photos to the back ground that will go hand in hand with the songs. When the rendition of the song “On In My Daughter’s Eyes” was going on, back ground showed the three daughters of McBride as well as other mothers and daughters. The video showed for the song “Concrete Angel” brought tears to the eyes of the spectators. McBride sang patriotic songs like anyway and Independence Day. She performed the songs of Loretta Lynn and Lynn Anderson. Overall, the crowd enjoyed the concert with out any limit.
