Kid Rock’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Revival Tour kicks off its 2008 leg Friday in Evansville, bringing with him Rev Run and Per Wolf.Kid Rock is back on the road after 22 million records sold in the United States and a three-year hiatus. He’s promoting his latest CD, “Rock N Roll Jesus.” Late last year, Kid Rock joined Robin Williams, Lewis Black, Lance Armstrong and others on a visit to support U.S. troops stationed overseas.Tickets for the 8 p.m. show at Roberts Stadium are $46.50, $41 and $34. Tickets can be purchased at Roberts Stadium (10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and 10 a.m.).

Robbie Williams, Radiohead, and Arctic Monkeys joined calls Tuesday for a levy to be added to concert tickets resold on the web in order to allow musicians to claw back some of the profits that are made by touts and fans. The acts’ managers said the move was vital to bring some regulation and rigor to the ticket market, which they described as “the wild west”. It was proposed to establish a Resale Rights Society, which would collect a fee from each concert ticket sold on eBay and other websites.

The great musician Garth Brooks has sold over 85,000 tickets in less than an hour for 5 upcoming shows in LA. Although Garth Brooks was previously scheduled for only 1 live performance, he will now play 2 concerts on January 25 (at 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.) and 3 concerts on January 26 (at 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m.) at the Staples Center. All proceeds from Garth Brooks’ shows will benefit recent fire victims and firefighters in CA.

Tickets for Garth Brooks’s LA benefit concert in January for victims of the recent wildfires in California will go on sale on December 1 at 9 am. Garth Brooks was approached by civic leaders and California state elected officials from the areas that were affected by recent wildfires. The concert will be held on January 26, 2008 at the Staples Center in LA, California. Show tickets for all seats are $38.60 (plus $5.00 handling charge and 1.40 city amusement tax). There’s going to be a limit of 6 concert tickets per person.

Spice Girls’ tickets for the comeback tour are being auctioned off for less than a 3rd of the tickets’ face value. The first date of their world tour starting in London on December 16, was originally sold out in just 38 seconds. Sixteen further dates at the 23 thousand capacity O2 Arena, and 2 at Manchester’s MEN Arena, have sold out as well. However now, tickets for the nineteen United Kingdom dates, with cost £85 each, are being flogged off for less than only £25.

The Jaguars are back at home after playing 3 straight road matches, as they host the surging Chargers this Sunday afternoon from Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. Jacksonville went 2-1 on the trip and handed the AFC South-rival Titans a 28-13 defeat last weekend. The Jaguars earned revenge of a Week One setback to Tennessee by pounding the football against the League’s top run defense.

Ilya’s NHL-leading fifteenth goal gave Atlanta its 4th win in the past 5 matches.
